Keaton spent more than ten years at the Harris County District Attorney’s Office, where he rose through the ranks to lead several elite divisions, including Homicide, Major Offenders, and Gangs/Organized Crime. He led the prosecution in numerous complex, high-profile trials, including the case against former HPD officer Gerald Goines and a capital murder case involving a fatal robbery at a Dollar General store.
