Roberts Markland LLP is proud to be featured in the new television series “The Caste of Beula” — a powerful docudrama filmed partially at our own Riverside office in Houston. Produced by 1919 Media Company, the show explores the historic roots of Black power, business, and community in one of Houston’s most culturally significant neighborhoods: Riverside Terrace.
Our participation in this production is part of our ongoing commitment to uplifting Black voices, storytelling, and community-centered work in Houston and beyond.
A Story Told Where It Happened
The creators of The Caste of Beula chose our Houston Riverside office as a key filming location due to its symbolic presence in a neighborhood once known as the “Black River Oaks.” Riverside Terrace, shaped by civic leadership, cultural influence, and professional excellence, has long stood as a symbol of Black success in Houston. These are the same values we work to embody in our practice.
“Riverside is more than a neighborhood. It’s a reflection of Black resilience, ambition, and transformation. We are honored to have our space used to help tell that story.”
— Sean Roberts, Managing Partner
