HOUSTON, TX February 2nd, 2023—Roberts Markland LLP, a personal injury law firm based in Houston, TX, are patrons and supporters of Southern Glory, a month-long art exhibit designed to support the release of NAACP Image Award-nominated film Memory Builds The Monument created by award-winning film director & multi-platinum Grammy nominated music producer Isaac Yowman.

Yowman developed the film to highlight the iconic musical venue Club Matinee founded in 1936 in the Historic Fifth Ward, located on the northeast edge of downtown Houston, that featured musical legends such as Ray Charles, James Brown, Aretha Franklin, Sam Cooke, Little Richard and B. B. King during the days of segregation.
The documentary premiered as an Official Selection at SXSW, won nearly a dozen film festivals globally and was acquired by Paramount, debuting as Memory Builds The Monument on BET during Black History Month and now streaming on BET+.
Southen Glory opens its door’s to the viewing public Sunday, February 5th – March 31st 2023, at The MAG located in downtown Houston.
